The ‘ASK’

Don Corby of Corby’s Audio asked us if we would like to execute an idea he had for a very exclusive opportunity at the 2024 Toronto Audiofest. Our answer was “Hell Yes” !

The REGA Naiad turntable is designed to locate to a wall with it’s custom carbon fiber mounting bracket (which is in itself a piece of art). This is a challenge to display at an audio show, so we designed a custom isolation stand that would accept the wall mounting bracket, as well as it’s power supply and phono stage.

Don wanted to incorporate carbon fiber details to match the REGA Naiad turntable and bracket, and upgrade our standard GP trays to full GP2 and GP3a Isolation Platforms. Size modifications were required, but the Isolation Platforms have all the internal isolation layers that follow our 3 “D” principles: disrupt, deflect & dissipate.

In hindsight, the castors were a brilliant addition, as this unit weights in excess of 200lbs without equipment.
